The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the price of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is making the most of the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving lucrative too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
